I am an associate professor of emerging media with a PhD in information. Within information, I focus on human-computer interaction and information policy.  While versed in philosophy of sciences, social theory and mixed methods, scientists in informatics fields also use computing sciences to research the interaction between human, societies, and technologies.

My research focuses on understanding how humans and machines interact in several registers.

I am a cartoonist with wide-ranging experiences, including my own animation studio (Toon Doctor®), and making mobile apps like TED. Today, I still draw comics, like Johnny Bullet ®. I publish ComicBookBin, Canada’s largest comics news site.
